Pennine Camp Hill Community College – Various Electrical Works

Pennine Camphill Community, a specialist college offering residential and day education for young people with learning difficulties have been working with James Scott and his team for the last four years on all aspects of our electrical systems work. This has included rewiring of buildings with a contract sum of £60K, design and install in a new build with an overall contract value of £1.65M, periodic system tests and quick response maintenance and fault rectification.

At all times we have had a courteous response, skilled workers trained to a high standard and a sensitive approach in all areas, especially in the contact with our vulnerable students. James and his team work to times and deadlines effectively and have never failed to deliver the promised outcomes. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his team for any aspect of electrical work or installations.

Hambleton Ales – 35.25 kWp Commercial Solar PV Installation

‘Investment Renewables Ltd have executed a first rate installation with the minimum of fuss and maximum effectiveness. The operation was conducted professionally throughout, from initial enquiry to after sales tweaking of the hardware. I have never experienced faultless installation and commissioning of engineering equipment, but this came as close as any. The result of course, is that I have saved thousands of pounds on electricity’.

Mr Simon Young – 4kWp Domestic Solar PV Installation

Solar PV panel supply and installation is a competitive field and there are dozens of supplies and installers to choose from. Through an agricultural contact we came across Investment Renewables and gave them a call. The first thing that impressed us was the amount of time that Ross spent talking to us – even though this was just an enquiry he explained the whole process and sent us a proposal of what might be a suitable system for us. More phone calls and endless questions from us later – all handled promptly and expertly by Ross – we agreed on a set of specifications for a PV installation and Ross came out for the site visit. I’d already explained that one of my pet hates is poor quality workmanship, and I wanted a neat installation with no visible wires or trunking. The difficulty here was that the house is long and thin and has open ceilings, so the power cable from the inverter to the breaker panel couldn’t run in the loft. With solid floors, it couldn’t go under the floorboard either. Eventually we noticed that there was a gap behind the soffits that was just wide enough to take the cable and decided to run it there.

Installation day came around quickly and started with a knock on the door from the scaffolder. Another good point for Investment Renewables – they look after their staff and take their health and safety seriously. Next, the electricians (employed by Investment Renewables) and Ross turned up, followed shortly by the roofers. With three crews on the job and Ross keeping an eye on things the panel installation went quickly and the scaffolding came down late in the afternoon. The next day the electricians came back to complete the wiring and hook it all up. This is when we discovered that although the cable and trunking would fit behind the soffit, the clips to hold the trunking wouldn’t. A couple of cups of coffee later, we’d worked out an efficient way of cutting out notches in the soffit that were not visible from the front and the wiring was completed. By early afternoon the whole system was up and running, Craig had taken me through how the system worked and how to shut it down, and everyone was happy – especially me!

IRL was a great company to work with and I’d recommend them to anyone contemplating a solar PV installation, big or small. And make sure you spend some time talking to the crew – the Yorkshire accents are wonderful!

Binks Vertical – Electrical work in a variety of mill developments

As a developer for over 45 years, I have used several trade providers for my various developments.

However, since 2000 I have used James and his team to provide all of our electric requirements, throughout our various sites and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

James Scott pays great attention to detail, and has helped us to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. James is used to working under pressured time constraints, and therefore crucially in these difficult times he is able to deliver.

The current Binks Vertical project, Blakeridge Mill Village involves the conversion of a former textile mill into 250 apartments. The expertise of James and his team leaves me confident that not only will the right product be suggested and installed, but crucially the lighting will also enhance the beauty of the buildings.

The role of James (and his team) involves liaison with key site personnel, and discussions with our own specialists regarding design and installation issues, as well as fitting in within our own time constraints.

I have always found James extremely easy to deal with and most importantly for me, he delivers what he promises. James is able to bring his wealth of knowledge to enhance and contribute to any project of any size.

To conclude therefore, from my own first hand experience over the past 12 years James Scott has excellent professional, and technical attributes and I would have no hesitation in recommending him and his team to any company.

Mr Peter Reek – 4kWp Domestic Solar PV Installation

Ross
I would just like to thank you and your team at Investment Renewables Ltd further to our purchase of 16 solar panels for erection on our bungalow.

I first met John Naylor who explained all matters concerning installation and performance of the solar panels, we decided to go ahead and I am pleased to say that at all stages from first fix scaffolding, fixing panels on roof and finally the electrician to connect all the pieces. The workforce at all stages were first class and finally you personally oversaw the
F I T application and submission to our energy supplier. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to any future customer considering a similar installation.
Best Regards,

Peter Reek (Wath-upon-Dearne) – October 2014

Mr & Mrs Eastwood – 4kWp Domestic Solar PV Installation

Hi, we had PV panels put on our house last week and I just wanted to tell you about your workforce. The men who put up the scaffolding did so in a cheerful and professional manner and were polite in spite of the drenching they got from the severe rain. The men who put the panels on and did the wiring were equally as professional and explained everything to us. Everyone cleaned up so well we would not have known they had been if not for the gleaming new additions. Could you pass on our thanks to all for a job well done.

Mr & Mrs Goodwin – 2 x Evance 5kW wind turbines

There are many companies around in the renewable energy field but deciding on Investment Renewables was the best move we ever made.

They provide a full package from planning to installation in a professional and workman like manner. Keeping us informed of progress throughout and answering any queries with speed and clarity.

We were well advised on the make/type of turbine for our situation (proximity of neighbours and restricted land area).

Installation was quick, tidy and with very little impact on the land, even though it was November. After installation, contact was maintained to ensure we were fully satisfied with the turbine.

Advise and help was also given with regards to technical information on the forms required by our electrical supplier and insurance company etc. They also liaised with these companies on our behalf when necessary.

When deciding to purchase a second turbine we had no hesitation at all, which company we were going to contact, Investment Renewables.

As with the first turbine, the second went in with the same level of expertise and excellent service.
