All systems >50kW in size must be registered on the Micro Generation Certification (MCS) database. Once your installation has been completed, we (an approved installer, with full MCS certification) must log the details of the project on the MCS database and provide you with an MCS certificate.

This certificate is an official document that must be submitted with your full Feed In Tariff (FIT) application, which you can find out more details about by clicking FIT application. This certificate qualifies your system for the Government backed financial incentives.

The MCS certificate coupled with a commission and handover document also represent the completion of the installation and provides evidence that the system has been fitted in accordance with the MCS standards.

The MCS certificate will show vital information such as;

  • Date the certificate was produced
  • Installers MCS number
  • Address of installation
  • Supply number for site
  • Installation date
  • Commissioning date
  • Size of system
  • Technology installed
  • Start reading on meter
  • Serial numbers for all equipment
  • Planning status
